Entering the second quarter of the 21st century, we have already exceeded ourselves, living in the era of post- everything. Far beyond the postmodern, we somehow seem to be already postdigital, while our greatest hopes and fears reside in the posthuman. Yet in this adulation of all things AI, what is increasingly lost are the very definitions of humanity. This video program considers the aspects of what makes us human through the prism of The Body, in all its various forms: the physical body, the body politic, the gendered body, the social body, the poetic body, the body in pain, in love, the body in life and in death. This selection of video art and performance is a celebration of the body in all its pre- posthuman viscerality.
